Scotland & Ireland

Castle Scotland
Family Hiking

Our tour begins in the exciting capital of Scotland; Edinburgh, where you will stay in an excellent hotel right on the Royal Mile for two nights, enjoying a panoramic tour of the city & Edinburgh Castle; and visits to the Scottish Parliament, The Royal Yacht Brittania, and the Museum of Scotland.

From there, we travel north to see “The Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”; the magnificent Scottish Highlands, and Loch Ness, spending two nights in Inverness, known as “the Capital of the Highlands”. We continue on to visit Stirling and its famous castle, as well as an overnight in Glasgow before taking a ferry across the sea to Ireland for the second half of the tour.

We spend two nights in Belfast, with a city tour and visits to the spectacular North Antrim Coast; Giant’s Causeway; and Bushmills Distillery. We travel across Northern Ireland to Derry, Sligo, Yeat’s Country, and finish up visiting Donegal, Connemara, and overnighting in Galway for the last two nights, and some wonderful excursions along the way. A visit to the Celtic Crystal Factory and afternoon tea at a traditional Irish farmhouse, with a fascinating look at sheepdogs at work; the Cliffs of Moher and the Atlantic Experience, and a cruise on the Killary Fjord is also included. All in all, this is a wonderful exploration of two different and wonderful countries in one trip.

All transportation will be in an accessible luxury vehicle with wheelchair lift. Accommodations are in excellent locations in Scotland and Ireland, and all touring, accommodation, taxes, baggage handling, full Scottish and Irish breakfast daily, and a 3-course dinner on 3 nights of the tour are included. Also included is a traditional homemade afternoon tea at the Irish farmhouse, as well as the services of a full time driver guide as well as local guides in Edinburgh & Glasgow. Airport transfers from Edinburgh airport on arrival and to Shannon airport at departure are included, as well as all attractions listed on the itinerary.

Ann is a colleague of mine. She has personally inspected all the hotels and attractions for accessibility. The buses are wheelchair accessible, too. Many of the pictures are those she has taken while on tour. She owns the tour company. I work to help you get your flights to and from Ireland. Ann has everything else all ready for you.
